First post here.  So, I am kicking out a master program from a 23.98 Resolve timeline to 29.97 DF for delivery.  The Bars/Slate start at 00:58:30:00 When checking the file in the Media Info app, it says that the start TC is now 00:56:15:00, as expected.  I simply do a Restripe in CineXTools to the correct start time, whichs seems to work...until I check the file in the Media Info App, and although it changes the Container start time, the SMPTE start time is not affected.  This means I have to rewrap in Adobe Media Encoder, which works, but it kind of defeats one of the main purposes for using CineXtools.  Kind of feeling ripped off at the moment.  What gives?  Anybody else having issues re-striping TC?

Can you provide a simple, 1 second clip of bars/tone?

you do not mention codec, wrapper, or Resolve version.  Resolve has historically been challenged properly implementing MXF containers and their files have been evolving quite a bit since v12, so we often have to make workarounds to accommodate their files.

thx

Thanks for your reply Dev Team.  Here's the lowdown

Delivering OP1-A  XDCAM 50 422 MXF
Resolve version 14.3
I believe it used to work as this was my workflow for another series last year.
How/Where shall I send the 1 second clip?
Here's a screenshot of what I'm seeing:

The "Other" #3 field at the bottom is the TC I'm concerned with.

I verified the SMPTE TC is not updated in a similar resolve file.  I've put in a ticket to look at it this week.

Avid MC (for instance) only writes Material TC, whereas most write at least Material and Source.  SMPTE TC is an optional field and typically applications will look at Material first, then Source, then other tracks, so it's probably not going to materially affect anything in the meantime.

Thanks so much, I appreciate the quick reply.  Unfortunately we've gotten flagged by the network's QC for this, so it's definitely an issue for us.  I do have a workaround that is working right now, so it's not the end of the world, but it would be great to get it fixed on the next update.  Thanks for testing it on your end!

This is fixed.  There will be a new build Monday.  Due to our transition to automated licensing, you may need a new license deposited.

please email your ilok id to support@cinedeck.com so we can check it.
